Graphics wise, its actually very, very good if we take into account that this game was released in 2004.
I think the game is lenghty, since missions can take quite a while to do (from 20 minutes to multiple hours, but it mostly depends on your playstyle), and you need to keep in mind threre are two campaigns, German and Soviet ones, as well as some secret missions.
I suggest Red Orchestra 2 soundtrack for an alternative if it's the grim atmosphere you're after.
Due to the fact, that immersion is rated higher because of sound, the combat feels more impactful and fun.
