The gameplay loop is pretty good, especially in coop - which I played it on.
Trine is a light game that is easy to digest but offers gripping visuals, a mystical atmosphere, and enticing gameplay.
Over the past 15 years, TRINE has evolved into a series with several numbered sequels with crisper, better graphics and even more beautiful and varied locations.
The gameplay, aesthetics, and narrative all come together to create a whimsical and charming adventure.
But various difficulty levels and a "hardcore" mode ensure that skilled players can still find a challenge.
The game only uses still images instead of pre-rendered cutscenes during narration, but the narrator and also the characters themselves have good voice acting and remind me of another narrator-driven platformer classic called The Cave that came out 4 years later.
