Gameplay

50 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
I think the biggest flaw is the short playtime of only around 60 minutes for fully upgrading your ship and beating the final boss but there is some room for replayability with different weapons to try out, higher difficulties a local coop-mode and the hunt for high scores and achievements.
Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
42 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
1993 Space Machine has a pretty decent amount of weapons and ships you can mess around with and upgrade.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
37 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
But it’s a competent game with a solid upgrade system and nostalgie infusing graphics, music and sound effects.
Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
21 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
Its visual authenticity, enjoyable upgrade mechanics, cleverly implemented defensive system, and local co-op options give it a warm, old-school charm that resonates most strongly with players who have a fondness for vintage shooters.
Controls
Players who bring up Controls mostly praise it.
17 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
Thanks to Steam controller custom settings I was able to remap also my arcade joystick 🕹 Hori Fighting Stick Mini for a perfect retro experience!
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
16 of 268 sampled reviews raised it
Combined with a soundtrack built on punchy synths and rhythmic loops, the presentation strikes an appealing balance between nostalgia and contemporary crispness.
