As for the gameplay, it's decent with its cool and unique weapons, the spider back-pack thingy, and the branching paths through levels.
Drawing clear inspiration from legendary action titles of the past while adding its own strange identity, the game combines explosive combat, bizarre alien enemies, branching level design, and a colorful hand-drawn art style into a chaotic but highly entertaining package.
EDIT: I went through the game again with the hardest difficulty and I must say it's a lot more fun and chaotic on the harder difficulties!
The soundtrack complements the gameplay perfectly with energetic music tracks that constantly reinforce the game’s fast pace and arcade atmosphere.
One of the game’s strongest features is its large roster of playable characters.
