What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The gun firing and melee attack sounds feel powerful and the walking sound effects give the impression that you're a big ol' chonko.
While I would like a simple reload mechanic and weapon inventory as a NG+ modifier I feel the system in the game is great.
The soundtrack is fantastic and every track adds something and fits with its level.
The story in this game is overall much more compelling than SPRAWL's was too and expands upon the universe, which I think is pretty cool!
In that way the highest difficulty mode in this game feels so fitting, more like the type of game design you'd find in older titles, 2000s shooters that weren't all trying to yellow-paint scent-trail their players into a nice, dull morphine-drip of gameplay.
Which I like, especially with how well the devs make use of lighting.
