What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Every fun feels unique, in-run progression feels smooth and cross-progression is encouraging and rewarding with a bunch of solid mechanics.
The first thing that stood out to me was the beautiful, smooth, cartoony graphics.
As a side-note, it plays absolutely beautifully on PC and I've been enjoying it at a very fluid 60fps on the Steam Deck, although the fans do kick in a fair bit when in menus.
Audio design reinforces the experience with satisfying weapon feedback and energetic cues that match the pace of combat.
I only play with a controller so for me it's the perfect game to drop into for some fast action, good entertainment, and it has some basic crafting which is random from upgraded weapons.
For those who enjoy incremental growth and optimization, this loop can be highly satisfying.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
