What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The asymmetric factions are a highlight – playing as the tech-rushing Sophons, the vine-spreading Unfallen, or the self-cloning Horatio delivers wildly different experiences each time, with unique mechanics, heroes, quests, and lore that make every empire feel alive.
The UI is clean and intuitive for juggling galaxy-scale decisions, visuals pop with stunning planetary renders and customizable ship designs, and those real-time space battles are epic (even if a tad hands-off).
Close to 300 hours and the game keeps getting better esp, when you play on higher difficulty.
Besides that, you also have a LARGE selection of quests you can stumble upon during gameplay, they add more rewards you can get and give more goals to a playthrough than straight up going for the win.
I highly recommend you at least give the soundtrack a try if the game is not your cup of tea.
Not to say that the single-player is boring, it's still very fun, just that multiplayer is a truly amazing experience.
