The gameplay is snappy and the best selling point of Portal, though I have to admit, that Portal 2 superseeds it in all ways it is still a fun gameplay and with the challenge maps and modes there's some replayability after its completion.
I feel like anyone who enjoys puzzle games and an interesting plot would enjoy this game a lot.
The chambers themselves offer a balanced difficulty, with the game requiring the player to think outside the box without losing their mind.
Pretty high frame rate, good resolution, and the graphics look like it was made in the early 2010s rather than the late 2000s.
The strange writings outside the test chambers and the sound design also complement the atmosphere very well.
KB+Mouse with Raw Input + Mouse Acceleration did it for me, as well as my sort of unusual layout, as someone who doesn't play FPS (Interact/Pick-Item on MOUSE3, Crouch on Space, Jump on Shift), and it FELT GOOD to play, the game makes you "get into a zone" so much that I immediately started it again after beating it for the first time.
