What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Getting all the drip varients of each fish was pretty mind numbing but I suppose it was faster with a coop partner.
Fortunately, the combination of rare variants, progression, combat, trick shots, cooperative play, quests, gambling, and new areas gives the design several ways to prevent fishing itself from carrying the entire experience.
Boss encounters are an especially amusing extension of the fishing premise, essentially transforming unusually formidable aquatic creatures into major combat challenges.
Better equipment, rare catches, dangerous islands, bosses, weapons, trick shots, and multiplayer interaction give the premise considerably more depth than its simple title initially suggests.
Another thing i was honestly impressed by is how each zone of the game has never felt particularly grindy, but i also didn’t feel like it was too easy.
Also, even though the game wasn't using VRAM, my graphics card was using 100%.
