Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
101 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
It has great combat; a great selection of weapons; good sound effects and graphics for it’s time; has a great story and is a fantastic port.
Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
62 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
A classic shooter game with great gameplay, music, level design, enemies, and weapons, features that made the experience of playing on the harder difficulty while 100% the game all the more worth while.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
47 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
First off you have quite a few graphics settings for you to tinker with like Motion Blur, Super Sampling, Ambient Occlusion as well as a Field Of View slider and the removal of fog allowing for greater view distances.
Performance
Players who bring up Performance mostly praise it.
36 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The framerate is great, the controls are great and the game plays a lot more like Quake than the clunky and slow way it used to be.
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
35 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The levels all have their own individual charm to them, and the soundtrack is still fantastic, albeit a bit repetitive.
Story
Players who bring up Story mostly praise it.
21 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Firstly, it is definitely an improvement over the first game that barely had any story at all but this game does at least make an attempt.
