What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Just like the first game, the story isn't complicated or important, and only serves as a vehicle for the Nerd's adventure to have a purpose, much like in some of the AVGN episodes.
The gameplay is also solid where you are able to collect certain weapon, power ups, and new abilities that can help you hover across hard to reach places and let you see hidden blocks for safe traversing.
In general, I'd say that the visuals are done well in A2.
The sound effects are good, and the soundtrack is just as great as the first AVGN game.
The game's subtitle, ASSimilation, is both a clever pun and a way better choice than something cliche like "The Revenge" or "Revolution"
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
