The gameplay works excellently, and the co-op aspect was particularly well integrated.
The two-perspective gameplay actually shines here; splitting us up near the end (one hiding, one creating a distraction) was a standout moment that felt genuinely collaborative.
For a first multiplayer experience for this dev, it was great multiplayer-wise, if you just cut out the ending and us ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around to softlock the game, would have had a great experience.
Overall, while the voice acting was great, the character models were amateurish, the physics were awful, the jumpscares were lacking and the overall game was just disappointing, I would not recommend this to anybody.
The latest installment in the series features truly beautiful graphics—the best in the series, I’d say—as the old pixel-art style possesses a charm that the other entries I’ve played lacked.
