Fright Train is an amazing arcade stylized experience, imagine you take the whole concept of the modern Resident Evil series Arcade mode gameplay but make it the story mode, and it works great!
The graphics are very cutesy and blend well with the overall tone of the writing, plus the half-serious half-silly story, reminds me a lot of Dillon's Rolling Western 3's Mii animal characters, but much more polished and fleshed out.
I'd say the low walking speed, and weak sprint feel bad, but they're balanced to the combat.
They sort of add to the atmosphere of what was happening before you arrived, while the voice acting of the characters helps bring things to life.
The art style really adds to the charm of the game and to have a sort of retro/cutesy anthro animal design to the game while also being filled with a lot of gore and blood.
