What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
A few negative quirks aren't enough to hold down a great combat system, cute characters and a succinct but charming story.
You have the standard Weapons, Items, Enhancing and all that good jazz, but this game manages to simplify core elements of RPGs, while tuning them to be equally engaging and easy to understand, special mention to the Wait system, which introduces a large pool for optimization and a risk-reward formula.
This grants a satisfying sense of progression that gives you frequent, small boosts in power.
Visuals and sound commendably convey the emotions of the scenes, albeit in a familiar SNES RPG style.
Difficulty seems like it's in a good place, but I opted out of what looks like the hardest content.
It doesn't hurt that the soundtrack throughout the game is always a good listen and always an amazing fit.
