Gameplay

48 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
I have barely mentioned this game's story in my review mainly because it has been talked about to death online, but it is a bona fide classic with the cheesiest writing and dialogue that is able to balance perfectly with the slower more tense gameplay truly making it a shining gem in the horror genre.
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
47 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Speaking of music, the soundtrack is excellent, creating suspense and anxiety in every moment.
Story
Players who bring up Story mostly praise it.
44 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The story is very simple compared to modern games, but still very effective and memorable.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
33 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Yet all of those combined, together with the PS1's signature visuals, surprisingly deep characters, and a story that revolved around the conspiracy?
Controls
Players who bring up Controls mostly praise it.
27 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The controls are easy to understand and need all of 10 minutes to really grasp, and this version of the game supports controller input which is what I played with.
Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
12 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
I also am going to tell you that this game plays great and that exploration and combat is immensely satisfying despite how most "fans" online will tell you the gameplay is outdated and even sucks, I disagree entirely.
