I was pulled in by the cute art style, and I like repetitive gameplay, so it seemed like something I'd enjoy.

If I had this code base and reviews like this I would add a restaurant/bar to upgrade, a very simple garden to plant a few unique or interesting seeds you could find in the dungeon, be "inspired" and add a simple recipe system like Kairosoft's Cafe Story.
While I played this on PC, I could see this being a great game to play on the Steam Deck too, especially if you only have a few minutes to play something.
Despite the soundtrack, Chef Knight is a genuinely fun 3-hour ride.
Chef Knight is a short yet very fun and addictive game; I loved the overall gameplay loop, graphics, and feedback while playing with a controller.

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
