What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
What I appreciated most is that the mechanics never lie about the content.
Simple, fun story, though the environments, monsters, and journey do the real talking.
It would’ve been easy for the game to rely entirely on its dark aesthetic and mature content, but the combat genuinely feels satisfying.
It’s fun to play with a balanced difficulty level; while the game uses pixel art, the 2D character artwork is beautiful.
The main pixel art style is a wonder, up from the previous game, 3D elements can be a bit less successful but it is not distracting.
Dark ambient OST that prioritizes dread over melody - effective at sustaining tension without becoming intrusive.
