Story and characters

Crystal Crisis, developed by Nicalis, is a puzzle battler that not only feels really smooth to play, but also brings a charismatic set of indie characters (and also Astro Boy and Black Jack, from Tezuka Productions, for some reason), a lot of different modes to play and some nice additions that adds more depth to the established formula.

Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
When you feel brave enough to play online, you’ll be able to choose between Ranked, Unranked, Custom Play or a Private Match with your friends – the online multiplayer has its own leaderboards as well, and most importantly: Crystal Crisis has cross-play with the Switch version, and hopefully with Playstation 4 soon.

You can also disable the gauge burst if you want an experience exactly like Super Puzzle Fighter II, change the grid perspective (just compare the screenshots with the game’s trailer, and you’ll know what I mean), and specially: you can customize crystal colors as you like – this is essential to colorblind players.
