What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is perhaps it's strongest part and it is best experienced going in completely blind and playing it at night for maximum immersion.

This PC version breathes some life into graphics with voice acting and animated sprites which make it much more enjoyable.
999 has been remastered and the graphics are modernised with today's anime style, conveying more realistic looking characters.
VLR on the other hand was underwhelming -- the pacing was slow as hell and the twist at the end kinda sucked. the puzzles were upped in difficulty and were fun to solve, the characters were interesting so id say playing it wasnt a complete waste of time.
