Dead Space™ 2

It can get you frustrated very fast, and makes you think too much for resource usage on normal difficulty, aside from that, all the gameplay, story, visuals, and variety makes it up for these things.

The new gravity gun mechanics are cool, impaling enemies with brooms/ripping slasher claws to fight other enemies is nice.

Oh, faster melee & stomping attacks where you can hear Isaac cursing under his helmet that will never get old.

Graphically, the game looks great & still holds up remarkably well today due to its exceptional lighting design, strong art direction, & rock-solid technical optimization.

While some parts of the story in 2 can be a bit better and fine-tuned in a remake to give more backstory or elaboration with certain characters, the pacing, setpiece moments, greater weapon variety, greater enemy variety and aggressiveness, Isaac being voiced, Ellie, and difficulty curve going up to Hardcore Mode; I love it and it’s clear Visceral was at the top of their game when they made this.

The sound design and music was great (especially the end credits song), art design was on par with the previous game.
