What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Overall, despite some technical issues, this is a fantastic real-time tactics game with a strong story, impressive destruction mechanics, excellent sound design, and remarkable longevity.
The narrative feels grounded, intense, and respectful of the source material, making the campaign engaging from start to finish.
This is largely thanks to the developers using their own proprietary engine, which allows for detailed destruction and realistic combat scenarios.
Considering the game is almost 10 years old, the graphics are still surprisingly good.
EDLISE, Brook Vernade and Smileque have masterfully composed the game's soundtrack which I have jammed on repeat as I type this review.
