What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Afterwards you can play multiple sandbox missions; so there is really a lot of replayability.
The story itself is suitably light-hearted for the most part, though that last mission and expansion turn up the stakes and are slightly more serious (slightly...) The characters were all very strong, well-written an engaging, carried by the excellent voice-work.
The sound design was also very good; popping the critters, pests and chitters had a very satisfying splat.
I love that you can play this in story mode, Challenge mode to increase the difficulty or you can just sandbox each level.
The graphics, sounds, design, atmosphere, humor, length,... it all ranges from good to very good.
You can, however, expect snarky humor, a fun if slightly repetitive gameplay loop and charming world/character design.
