I think it is both huge upgrade to the lore and gameplay.
Multiplayer feels like a bit more of an afterthought, and is a pretty limited experience that doesn't seem designed to fit with the game's mechanics.
I was excited to play coop with a friend, and it was undeniably fun to drive around and bash up zombies, but ultimately it became clear that other players are temporary guests in your world, and not so much cooperative contributors.
- Graphics, they are not that bad and in some way an upgrade but this is UE4 we are talking about, with forced TAA your game is blurry at all times and has lots of visual bugs.
I played this mostly of a steam deck and rather enjoyed it.
