You get used to it fast, but I prefer Pittman's previous games which had a unique art style despite being less complex.

It's not a shiny stealth-and-magic toy like Eldritch or even Dishonored, and sure, the stealth is a little weird, but it's an amazingly pretty game for it's low graphics, and the soundtrack is amazing.
