What players think
The recurring themes across 54 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The simplicity and difficulty of the level designs, as well as the overall shortness of the game, are very reminiscent of Super Mario Bros., while the graphics, controls and various other elements are very reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World.
Most of them don't have midway checkpoints but are short enough to never become too frustrating and will immediately make you feel like giving it another go.
This reliance on trial and error gives the game a steep difficulty curve, especially in later stages where mistakes are punished quickly.
The game does have a decent soundtrack and uses next to no system resources allowing it to run on a potatoe of a computer so it isn’t without some positives but they don’t come anywhere close to outweighing the negatives.
