By combining nostalgic visuals with carefully designed level progression, the game manages to feel both authentically retro and thoughtfully modern at the same time.
Same for the graphics, even though they are competent I have never been too fond of the 8-bit style.
The soundtrack complements this retro aesthetic with a collection of energetic chiptune compositions.
Thankfully Alwa’s controls are very tight and the game does feature full controller support with rebindable controllers.
