SteamWorld Dig 2 is competent in both its core gameplay and technical stability but nothing beyond that is worth praising.
Lots of titles emphasize plot and spectacle and emotion and variance in ways that make it feel like we're constantly experiencing something new, yet there's a certain comfort in the discovery of a routine.
The art style of SteamWorld Dig 2 feels like a late 90's cartoon network show.
The soundtrack is also impressive though near the end i was a little tired of the one track that plays constantly when you are just simply exploring.
This game works perfectly on ubuntu linux 16.04, with xbox controller support, just like the other steamworld titles.
