It's not exactly an on-rails shooter either as the Steam tag says, but rather a "Cabal shooter", thanks to a game of the same name that popularized this kind of gameplay.
Unfortunately the game does not support online co-op, only a very beefy leaderboard where you can put your nifty scores, you wanna play with friends?
This Reloaded version is amazing at how effectively it updates the visuals while not losing the original look and style, so much that you'd almost think that beside the 16:9 aspect ratio, it used to be exactly like that.
- new soundtrack which is pretty good, the option to unlock the original soundtrack is gated behind a pretty challenging achievement (beating the game with no continues is going to be difficult for a lot of people, even on easy), the new soundtrack is better than the original though.
The game plays well on both a controller and keyboard due to how minimal the controls were even on the original.
