You have unlimited lives and continues, and can collect checkpoints on the way.
The visual design of the levels is beautiful and immerses you in the seasons it’s supposed to represent, even in its 16-bit art style.
The sound effects aren't too special but sound good and get the job done.
The difficulty is balanced well, and there is a challenge that older games have that feels natural as it gradually gets harder and trickier as it goes along.
Normally when I've looked for games like that on Steam, I confess disappointing results as they usually result in either cheap porn or puzzle games (Summer Flowers doesn't count as it had a good story and great art) or they're downright repulsive garbage visual novel games like Amorous or Farnham Fables.
