What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
-single player experience: if you played the extra or extella line of games the story telling method should be very familiar and the plot should come to you relatively easy.
EXP gain is tailored near perfectly for story progression and I never once went into a mission and felt like I was underleveled.
It can be smoothed out dramatically, but requires tinkering with settings and possibly even graphics driver settings to get things to relax.
+ good Soundtrack
-content load: okay so for a while there were costume dlc being made for the game which initially gave i and many others the impression more was coming to the game in the form of characters, paid dlc map packs, etc. and that we may get balance updates. nope. what you see in the costumes is still available afaik and does give you unique 2d sprites that come on screen when you use NP, overcharge, etc. but aside from that, they do nothing. for those coming from fgo, no, bikini scatach does not make her an assassin. yes, im dissapointed too. still the dlc is nice and if you enjoy attractive anime chars, by all means. i will stop talking about dlc and talk about the actual CONTENT LOAD of the game. it is a p repetitive hack and slasher in the context of its single player gameplay but does offer a good amount of content to placate. in terms of multiplayer, it has a really nice amount of variance and content that when played with a full lobby of people can lead to really funny and wacky moments (mostly breaking the game but i digress) and can be a really great and wholesome experience despite its aformentioned short comings.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
