Since offline was only recently introduced I have very limited experience with it, but the time I had in co-op (around 15hr) was both challenging and engaging.

The graphics, music/sound and lore are excellent, the levelling system (aside from gear score) is great; However the game-play gets stale exceptionally fast because there just isn't enough variation in enemies or stages forcing it to become a rinse/repeat kind of process with the occasional forcing of doing levels again just to get your gear score up.

The customization of character, the capability to play multiplayer (online only) not on the couch, the nice art, this game is something uniquely special and I would highly recommend it to any person who's a fan of top down games.
