Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered

Gameplay-wise the singleplayer campaigns are well done, have a good story and atmosphere, and generally are well designed.

This campaign has even more depth and missions are not linear anymore as your actions can ripple through the next missions.

I always knew of Arma 3 as being a "serious" military sim with a strong multiplayer and modding community, but I had no idea the first game also included a compelling single-player campaign.

For those willing to invest the time to master the game, ARMA: Cold War Assault offers an unforgettable, immersive experience in Cold War-era combat.

The sound design is pretty good for the time aswell, especially with the EAX sound system.

The series has only gotten better with time becoming the premier milsim for anyone seriously interested in the genre, but this was a great start for the series and well-worth playing (recommend starting with Cadet difficulty so you aren't as lost).
