It's a better game, properly optimized even on lower end PCs unlike this game, and it has infinitely smoother gameplay.
Combat in Garrison Archangel is very fast paced, and based upon dodging, parrying and triggering special equipment abilities at the right time to overcome the enemy while staying alive.
There is a lot of single-player content of varying difficulty to get you started and improve.
Generally the visuals are simple and show their indie roots, but are certainly enjoyable and do their job.
Sound effects are a bit bland and generic, but more than adequate to their tasks (and some are actually quite good).
The choice between vertical and horizontal split screen is a nice touch - particularly as the game is only in early access.
