What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
If you want to try it out first, the Stadium enviornment is available as a standalone game for free (Trackmania Nations), with a fully fleshed out singleplayer campaign, the powerful track editor, full mod support, and unlimited multiplayer.
The simpler shading of the environments, combined with good anti-aliasing options, solid lighting, and other super clean visual effects to give this game a unique visual identity that holds up 16 years later and never distracts you from the action on screen.
- This game's gameplay is more like a high score leaderboard kind of game instead of a traditional racing game, which makes it a unique learning process for the best possible routes (or janky car launches).
And there's the never-ending pursuit of the perfect line.
Until the website returns the game will be limited to these smaller pools of user content, but honestly any new player can find HOURS of entertainment in the single player campaigns and many of the multiplayer servers.
Engine sounds, crash noises and ambient sounds are a bit static, so don't expect to be wowed by impressive sound effects.

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
