What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Mechanics: JR has some good mechanics worth mentioning, but I struggled to find something that didn’t have a downside.
The roster of characters and weapons is varied enough to keep things interesting for quite a few hours.
The numerous characters, weapons, upgrades, pets, skills and difficulty settings makes the game a fresh experience each run!
The art style is fantastic and does a great job at bringing out the cartoonish, unique elements of each character, scene, and enemy.
It's still fun, especially in couch co-op, but even while playing with another person and taking advantage of the invincibility bug, I found the overall experience surprisingly grindy.
Visually appealing in a variety of ways, and character design is simple but effective.
