Story
Players who bring up Story mostly praise it.
156 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Story is fun, took me about 4 hours on stream, but felt it was well worth the cost.
Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
89 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Movement and shooting are straightforward and responsive, allowing players to navigate levels without frustration, but these mechanics are rarely the main attraction.
Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
22 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The variety of weapons also makes it very enjoyable to fight every single enemy and collect because there is something for everyone.
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
21 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The soundtrack is amazing, at no pint is there akward silence or unfitting music (unless it's for comedic effect), there aren't any game breaking glitches (at least I haven't experienced them) and the story and plot, even though short, is amazing with great characters and a very interesting ending.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
16 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The preceding paragraph shows how Break the Game works well as on paper: "platformer with subversive characters, fourth wall-breaking story, and minimalist graphics" are all elements suited to the modern indie game scene.
