Meow Motors offers clean go-kart racing gameplay using adorable cats as the drivers, with 10 total karts to be unlocked through gameplay across 20 tracks with refreshing backgrounds, simple environmental obstacles, and 10 different power-ups to be used against the other racers.
But there is enough gameplay in the campaign and couch co-op modes for me to recommend this game at this time.
The whimsical art style, replete with vibrant colors and charming character designs, dances upon the screen like brushstrokes on a canvas.
There is a brief comic-strip style story to begin, and it is very nicely drawn.
These items range from speed enhancements to more playful weapons that disrupt opponents, creating moments where races can shift dramatically in a matter of seconds.
Lastly as much as I enjoyed the upbeat soundtrack and beautiful sprawling tracks it does get a bit repetitive.
