What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Most people were ranking Sekiro more difficult than other Soul games that in my perspective look a lot more difficult for their mechanics and especially for having no Parry mechanic that is as good as Sekiro's.
The Prosthetic Tools and the Stealth mechanics give you more ways to approach enemies.
I completed the entire game with the Demon Bell active, which added another level of difficulty and made it even more rewarding.
The cutscenes are captivating, the characters and story pull you in right away, and the atmosphere is soaked in unmistakable Japanese spirit.
Optimization is absolutely great, the game has simple textures but you won't notice because the they KNOW how to compose with light and shadows.
I even saw a blindfolded speedrun... only could be possible bc of sound design.
