For a game made almost 9 years ago, the graphics hold up well.
It's a neatish way of offering some progression (a la Gran Turismo) with limited modes.
Thankfully too, there's a good range of options and adjustments too not just in your in-game options, difficulty and such, but also in tweaking the controller.
Its learning curve is steep, and success comes through practice, setup experimentation, and disciplined driving rather than instant gratification.
