Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
26 of 84 sampled reviews raised it
The thing that sets Maytroid apart is its nonlinear level progression in that there's many ways to reach certain rooms or bypass them all together.
Story
Players who bring up Story mostly praise it.
21 of 84 sampled reviews raised it
The inclusion of a story also helps in that it gives the main character personality making her more relatable even though her situation is bizarre.
Difficulty
Players who bring up Difficulty mostly praise it.
14 of 84 sampled reviews raised it
The gameplay is actually really challenging on the Warrior (normal) difficulty, but luckily you can adjust the difficulty and the controls are tight (most of the time).
Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
13 of 84 sampled reviews raised it
Boss battles remind a lot of Furi bosses, only with side perspective - battles are intense, there a lot of bullets, attacks are incoming from everywhere, you need to combine your ranged and melee attacks, perform certain moves to replenish your health in order to keep yourself alive.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
6 of 84 sampled reviews raised it
The graphics and music are surprisingly decent, and the story is ok and with relatively few typos if you bother to read it.
