What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game is enjoyable, the combat is tons of fun, and the story is mostly good.
This game is better in many ways, the combat and encounter design feel tighter, the voice acting and writing are better, and of course the graphics are better.
The army management is better than I've seen in most RPGs that have a similar mechanic, but still very simple.
All dialogue is fully voiced, and the voice acting is really good.
I also really like the core design of the four main classes.
The visuals in Expeditions: Rome are detailed and fitting for its historical theme.
