However, Kill The Crows amazed me with its simple but challenging gameplay, nice pixel art style, and its sound design, especially on the guns.

It's atmosphere, music and visuals offer much depth and story-telling even if it's just a small town (and an arena), it's quite clear even while just trying your best to keep your eyes on targets to shoot.
The visuals and audio in Kill The Crows are excellent examples of doing a lot with a little.
The sound design and the subdued music really do an incredible job of immersing the player in the atmosphere and tying together all of the other aspects of this game.
